Russian disdain

"The Russian Government treats Britain with disdain because the government thinks it has bought the British elite", writes Anne Applebaum in the attached article in Washington Post.

"Our institutions, our banks, our tax havens have helped create this profoundly cynical regime in Moscow, [..] And we are still unable to see it." And, she asks: "Are we prepared to end that financial relationship?"

This cynical Russian regime is to be prolonged for another six years now. The question is urgent enough to receive serious attention. Unfortunately, the West is in no political or moral position to muster the necessary courage to do it.

Neither Justice nor Order

Footprints of the 20th Century - Third Edition

This fifth and final volume offers a critical assessment of the state of the law of nations. In the twenty first century the world needs true global law anchored in the dignity of the human person rather than weak international law built on the interests of major sovereign states.

De geest van Christus leeft in Europa
